Do You Provide Dry VO, Edited VO or Complete Production?
All of the above. In addition to being a long time voice actor, I’m also a radio network audio producer. And while many of my clients request straight dry reads, I also do full production (you may provide production music or a buyout rate per piece will be included in your rate.) Want more than once voice? I know people. Just ask!
Dry VO is sent clean and tidy with alternates for many sentences. You can also request multiple takes on everything. Only the requested takes are sent for phone patch sessions. Full production is sent as, well, full production!
What’s Your Turnaround?
If I receive your script by noon PST, there’s a good chance you’ll get it the same business day, but my guarantee is two business days. For projects over four pages, let me know your deadline. I’m sure you’ll get it back faster than expect.
Where Do You Record - Is There a Studio Fee?
I record from one of two Pro Tools studios with nearly identical setups. There is never a studio fee for my clients. (ISDN sessions may incur a small fee.)
How About Retakes?
One of the benefits of my e quick turnaround is more time for you to assess anything you need changed. Any mistake or misread that you catch will be corrected quickly and free of charge. If you decide to rewrite or decide to change the direction of your project, we can take care of that for a nominal fee. (see rates.)
What If I Need an Addition or Revision in Six Months or a Year?
No problem! I still occasionally voice match revisions on projects from over a decade ago. I’m really good at copying me. And since this has been my thing for most of my life, I’m not going anywhere.
How Do I Get My Files?
Any way you want ‘em! Usually small projects are attached as high quality mp3’s to an email, but you can get wav’s, aiff’s, and anything in between… just ask! Larger files are uploaded to my FTP site. You’ll get an email with directions on how to download your project.
What are Your Rates?
As a financial core member of AFTRA, Signatories must refer to scale for rates, plus any applicable agency commissions.
Non-union work is rated by project but this should give you a ballpark idea:
Dry VO Rate (unedited):
$150 first page, $50 each additional (size 12 font double spaced, 1″ margins)
Revisions $50 per page.
Produced or Highly Edited VO:
Session rate is $250 first hour, $100 each additional hour or $50 each additional half hour.
Included my VO only. Additional fees may apply for additional voices, buyout library music or effects .
How Do I Pay?
If you’re with an established company, I will email you an invoice payable upon receipt. If you’re on your own, I request you pay online with a major credit card (Paypal) before downloading your project. Clients in good standing can have either option at any time.
Is There a NonProfit Discount?
Yes! Just provide your 501c3 info and I’ll take 20% off of your total bill.
